The Pensions Advisory Service is an independent voluntary organisation established for the purpose of giving free help and advice to members of the public on all matters concerning pension schemes (other than State Schemes) including personal pensions. The service is available to all those who think they have pension rights including scheme members, pensioners, those with deferred pensions and dependants. If TPAS fail to solve your problem you can ask for it to be referred to the Pension Ombudsman. The Pension Ombudsman was appointed under Pension Schemes Act 1993 and may investigate and determine any complaint or dispute of fact or law in relation to an occupational scheme made or referred in accordance with the 1993 Act.
